Does anyone have any recommendations for the above?

Don't care about wet performance, just want them to be road legal and give the best track life&grip/£.

Have looked at the Avon website, but they don't seem to go to 16".

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers,

James

I'm running Kumho ECSTA V700 in 16" on track (and a bit of every day fun...and even a bit of the dragstrip has been thrown at them), and I love them...others swear by the Toyo Trampios.

Have you thought of Yoko A032Rs in a soft compound? The 205/50/16 will set you back around £125 + vat or similar.. They are road legal, e marked and grip like buggery... though I havent used them on a big 4wd car - just on the rallycar in 14"

Maxsport make a tarmac/soft compound road legal tyre in 205/50/16.
Called appropriately the RB5. Demon Tweeks stock them, and it may well be worth asking them about their suitability for high-speed track work.

They are about 60quid a corner, but I have no actual experience of them.
