bigger wheels a problem???

Hi all, just got an impreza sport 98. its come with standard 15's, but i wanna put 17's on it. wud this affect the air bag system? and wud they go on no probs???

cant for the life of me see why channging your rims should upset your air bags ?????they are not connected the air bags have there own system for activation

, dont actally own a scob but 17" wheels will fit if you use the correct off set wheels and right tyre size

ta 4 the input. reason i asked about air bags is because in the manuel 4 them it stated not to 'modify' them. think it has something to do with bigger wheels giving unaccurate speed readings, hence giving airbags inaccurate information IF any impact occurs.ps. offset is a bit funky isnt it? we pay more 4 our alloys!!!

Hi,

I've just fitted 17's to my sport (thanks Paul in Glasgow)

They're briiliant, really helped the steering, and after I fitted a set of Eibach springs (it sat a bit high on the 17's) it really transformed the handling.
