Steven

Just to confirm a couple of points for you.

We always recommend the fitting of 225/35/18 Pirelli P-Zero tyres for the 00MY Impreza.

We know from experience that the S-03's will rub on the rear arches as they have a curbing rim on the sidewall.

As for the AVS's, I am sure you will get a few responses from other members of this BBS, but from the threads I have read most drivers don't seem to rate them.

The P1 OZ wheels are ET53.

Thanks, Nick.

Hey guys,

Well, I am going to the US on July 23rd and wanted to get some wheels and tyres
for MY00 Scooby. I was thinking about buying the OZ P1 gold wheels in 18x7.5,
they should fit perfectly right?

Then since I would be buying new wheels I would need new tyres, and there lies
the problem. The guy at the store reccomended 215/40/18 for my car and the
only ones he has are the Dunlop Sport FM901, but I really want either
Bridgestone S-03 or the Yokohama AVS but they only come in 225/35/18 or
225/40/18. So my question is, would 225 be alright for my car and should I
take 35 or 40?

Do any of you have any experience with either the Yokohama or the Bridgestone
tyres? I have heard really good reviews about both in the US but was
wondering what you guys in Europe though. Since I was also taking into
consideration that Iceland is much colder than the US.

I have also heard that some 18" tyres can cause rubbing and some dont, but do
you guys have any idea if that could become a problem with the setup I am
thinking about.

This may sound stupid but I have heard a lot of guys talking about the offset
on the wheels, can anyone explain to me exactly what that is? The Impreza has
the ET50 offset right?
Am I right that the Impreza has 5/100 lugs?

As you can see I am pretty confused at the moment and have been going back and
forth on this decision, so any help would be appreciated, since I kinda have to
decide this soon.

Cheers,

Steven
