Why don't they fit???

Bought a standard set of hoses only to find that you need to file down the middle joint to make them fit. Why!?!?!?!?!?!?

Anyone?

I had to do exactly the same to mine, I had a moan to the supplier, they assured me that they would send all their remaining sets back and get them correct in the future, have a moan, it might not help you, but may assist others in the future, mind you, my moaning didn't help did it!

Sorry to hear that you've had trouble fitting,
Just had my calipers, discs and hoses upgraded and got them fitted by my dealer and they never mentioned anything about having any issues with fitting them! (UKMY98 turbo-goodridge ZZEG0230-004 kit)
Must add I was quite impressed with the quality of the hoses, lifetime guarantee and packaging etc all for just £60 (Grahamgooderacing plug,plug...no ties etc just a happy customer)
As Ron says I'd get in contact with the manufacturer as I'm sure they'd want to resolve any issues with the kits, just surprising it's not made the boards before (as far as I'm aware) as they are supposed to be a retrofit item.
Cheers...melon

Spoke to Goodridge techincal dept this AM

They have advised me that this is the norm for all hoses. They are machined at 18 mm and need to be 17mm. You cannot grind them down it must be by hand or by machine. They have also said that this factor must be explained when you buy the hose sets.

Funny that didn't happen (even when I bought them direct from GoodRidge!)
