Take a look at this picture....
its my current wheel/tyre combo.
Tyres are 215/35 18's
I bought the wheels & tyres secondhand & soon I will need to replace the tyres.
Do you lot think the tyres are the right width - the alloys seem to stick out a bit (I am always kerbing them !!)
Thoughts please

Dunno the width. Should I go for the next size width tyre - 225/35's then ?
I guess if I dont know the width of the wheel then thats a silly question - though it looks like the wheel can take a wider tyre.

Yep - looks at least 8", but get it measured. How does it handle like this - the et looks quite low, but it maybe because it's OE ride height?
You need to work out what the original tyre size was to find out what size you should fit now (to keep the same rolling diameter, and the speedo accurate). In a 225/40 18 tyre; 225=width, 40=%age of width which is height of tyre and 18 is the internal diameter (so 40% of 225 + 18 gives rolling diameter....& you must do same with original wheel tyre combo to find whether 40 or 35 series is better).
