Default Front caliper frame bolts...

Hi All! The upper 17mm frame bolt is right beside a strut bolt making it difficult to fit a suitable Socket onto. Can anyone recommend a suitable Socket to use or do I have to remove this lower strut bolt first, thanks.

Hi, no needs to be a socket so I can torque it properly on reassembly. Also a spanner at that tightness and on a 20+ year old bolt head is going to result in a rounded head. (been there before) I always use 6-sided sockets now as well, to reduce the risk of rounding old nuts n bolts. Managed to undo it with a mix of adapter and extension, but not at all elegant, not like they demonstrate on youtube.
Have you tried Bigg Red for caliper refurb kits,
