My Spec-C BBS forged wheels finished in bronze by Pentland Powder Coatings
As per bronze finishes on this thread: https://www.scoobynet.com/members-ga...nze-paint.html so had them powder coated in primer then wet painted in Fiat 750F Marrone Vulcanico bronze as in the thread with a satin powder coat finish, all this for £200!
finished wheels collected from Pentland Powder Coaters fitted with Nokian winter tyres ready for another mild damp winter...
Even the insides have been wet painted
I have another set of these in near perfect original BBS gold finish which will be going up for sale soon if anyone is interested
Funny I could never find a set of 5x100 when I had my bug sick wherls, Yeh seen them other ones before bro I don't need the tyres that set comes with although if that set had some Bridgestone re070's on I would have given him a shout the 888 toyos are no good to me
This is the exact colour I'm planning to do my bbs. Bang on perfect IMO.
I'm not into the gold on a Subaru, I like a bit of tint as I had ce28s before and loved the car colour combo.
Although mine aren't far off that condition. The going rate seems to be around the £600 mark, but haven't seen a set that hasn't needed a refurb or already been refurbed. Will be getting them out of storage soon and giving them a thorough clean and polish so will get some pics done then.

Cheers 53, don't get too excited though, it is just a WRX wagon, although a very nice one at that! Can't wait to fit them myself but will spend a little time sealing them and wait for the cold weather before fitting.

The final colour isn't powder it's a wet (2 pack) paint sprayed over the baked powder primer, then a satin powder finish. Pentland do a bronze powder finish that is very close in colour to Fiat 750F but as with a lot of powder finishes the metallic flecks are to big or course making it look 'cheap'.

Agreed, once you've gone bronze there's no going back
Much prefer bronze to gold with crystal grey so should look the bollocks.
Is that your cool grey Type-R with bronze photoshop?
Your BBS are as new so you'd get away with just wet painting them
Lol no, i stole it from google when i was looking for samples on a grey classic, once i saw it, decision was made instantly.
Yes ill be getting them painted, don't do powder coating
Looks great that on yours, agree black is best, forget the shout out colours lol, I had neo chrome prior and I should slap myself for buying them.
I have a proper side shot of my car now and tbh I'm quite liking the stock colour, so no rush for the bronze for now
Black nuts it is then!
Good decision busta, seems a waste to get some mint wheels repainted, just wait until you kerb them, then go for the Hawaiian Tropic look lol! BTW, the tyre fitter noted how thick the rims are on these wheels and they actually stand out from the tyres as if they are stretched, even though they are the correct 225 width, so would recommend a 235 width tyre with good rim protection. Might have to go for some of those ridiculous alloy gaters as I'm guaranteed to kerb them first time out!
Yeah, it's pointless stripping the new tyres I've just had put on, just to paint wheels (should of done em before).
I'll await till tyres are shot now tbh.
My tyres seem OK in rim protection, no stretched look at all, suppose it's down to tyre brand, the AD08 are quite chunky anyway and mine are 215s
The temperature has dropped drastically so time to get these wheels fitted!
Ordered a set of TPi XR steel wheel nuts in black, have these in chrome as well and they're top quality nuts
Wheels on
Tyres are a set of used but virtually brand new winters, Nokian WR G2 all weather plus, but turned out to be run flats so the ride is a little firmer than the standard Nokian winters on the WRX 17s I used last year.
Thanks lads. Now I'm happy with this set it's time to get the other set polished-up and sold off to reduce my wheel count lol, make a nice xmax present for someone!
going rate for these is around £600 and these are in amazing original condition, even the steel lug inserts are corrosion free so can't have spent much time on UK roads.
