Fitted an oil pressure gauge at the weekend so just for reference wanted to know if my figures are ok.

V9 sti block, crank, rods, cp forged pistons, arp 11mm, stock oil pump, millers cfs 10w50, 387bhp vpower/418 meth mix

6.5 bar cold idle
3.5 bar hot idle (oil temp 85-90 cruising, 95-105 playtime)

always get a bit of smoke on cold start and using around 1 litre per 1500 miles. Engine has done 5k since build but was built in 2009.

 

Sounds about right my oil pressure is 6.8 start up and 2.8 on tick over when warm. (Litchfield T25) tick over rpm is about 700rpm if I remember correctly.

My 20 yr old tuned lump runs 6.5 bar cold , 2 to 2.2 bar hot , running a 10/50 oil

just built a forged 2.5 myself. I get 80-90 psi cold (PRV pressure) and 40 psi hot idle. Makes 80 psi by about 2000-2500 hot (PRV pressure).
12 mm pump and 10-60 here
