Default Is there a torque setting for bell to rotor?

Do I need to torque up the bolts from the bell to the rotor on a two piece disc,or is just nice and tight ok?

Cheers

It will be something like 10Nm, but unless you have a suitable torque wrench, "tight" should be tight enough.

Thank you, before I saw your reply I thought 10Nm would be enough.
Everything was going well,I decided to do them all to 5Nm to start, then 10Nm.
Got to the last one and this happened....

I would of thought bolts for brakes would have withstood a bit more pressure?

The bolts are stainless, that's all, for obvious reasons. One reason why i'd always ask Ian for a new set with new disks.

Interesting to see that your discs have the cap screw heads on the inside and the floating nuts in the bells.

Every other 2 piece disc I've seen does have the bolt head on the outside, these are the older Scoobyclinic 6 pot brakes and Ian had to make them for me,I did ask for new bolts and he said he would post them out with the discs if he had them, unlucky for me he can't have had the correct ones.
I will take a trip to the local bolt shop tomorrow.
Lesson learnt,,don't use the old bolts!!!
