Arch and Mudflap Scrubbing

Default Arch and Mudflap Scrubbing

I recently changed the wheels on my Scoob and am getting a little bit of scrubbing. The wheels are 17x7.5 with an offset of 48 running 225/45/17 tyres.
I'm getting a bit of scrubbing on harsh bumps from the rear passenger side only and both fronts are catching the centre bolt of my mudflaps.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why it only scrubs on one side, and would shaving the arch lip a bit be a good idea?
Is there anything I can do with the mudflaps? I've already edited the brackets as much as I can to try and solve it, and it worked a bit but it's not gone completely!

I had exactly the same problem only on the one side but mine was rear driver side.

I was told not to shave the lip as it would affect the strength so I had the arches proffesionally rolled. Cost me £80 and solved the problem.

I thought about rolling the arches, but was a bit worried about the paint cracking. I've read all sorts of horror stories online!

I was worried about it aswell put mine were fine no cracking.

Who did yours? I found a place called Arch Enemy that look pretty good.

hmmm, why would shaving a bit of the lip down cause strnegth issues ?

i have this issue also, rear passenger side, tyre wall hits the inner lip of the arch, drivers side no problem

weird, i thought maybe its a lazy spring ?????

I was told the inner and outer wings are welded together on that lip and taking some away would remove the welds?

I also read that it's welded at the lip, but didn't think shaving a couple of millimeters would be too much of a problem.
I wondered if mine was lazy suspension as well. It seemed ok when I looked and tried the bounce test, but it could be getting to the point of needing replacing.
