Default Work place debate

Good evening scoobynetters, how are we all?

Looking for some input into an ongoing discussion we're having at work at the moment. Alot of my colleagues are German car orientated and a few like they're euro stuff. Recently we've been discussing bang for buck, in particular how much more power could you get out of an impreza or any car for that matter for £10,000

So I'm asking you lovely lot what you have gotten or what you assume to be peak power for 10k assuming 6 speed gear box and a life of atleast 8000 miles.

500bhp, It's all about starting with the right car, probably even have some change left over if you go straight to his final set up.
