Default Tyres, what's your recommendation ?

I know this thread must of been done before, but as there are new tyres coming onto the market all the time.
It's time to replace mine and I'm tempted by Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 XL.
( Hawkeyes 56 sti D spec with 18" pro drive rims )

Any comments or recommendations welcome

Recently bought some super sports after reading rave reviews and I am very impressed so far. Took them on a very wet track day at Oulton Park in November and they were brilliant!

I'm also going to need to replace my tyres and currently looking at the Michelin PS3 or Primacy 3 as they both should give decent levels of grip and not too much road noise. I had the PS3's on my ST220 and they were pretty good in an unremarkable way. Any others I should consider? No track days, just commuting and an occasional spirited drive cross country.

Been doing some googling and found these pirellis:

Which get a good review for the price. Anyone tried them?

Well I've gone for the eagle F1 and decided to do all 4 . I noticed there are 2 types and think it's related to the compound as the ones I got were 70db, obviously a softer compound but that suits me. I would like to know where you can get cheep mail order tyres as I'm starting to fit more at work.
I found black circle tyres ok, but has anyone found anywhere else ??

My personal choice would be Oponeo.co.uk. Brilliant prices and always free delivery. Tyreleader are worth a look too.

I've looked at a lot of user reviews (as opppsed to professional reviews) and now i think that eagle F1 asymmetric 2s are probably the way to go. Anyone had any issues with them?
