Default ABS Codes Classic WRX

Anyone have any idea how to get abs codes from a 96 wrx.
Have read all threads I can find on Internet and says to earth the connector under dash. Have tried connecting the ground wires hidden to the black plug in the correct plug locations (only two wires in block) and combinations of one or t'other but to no success.
Have checked the connections and replaced the front abs sensors as I had spares (definitely worked on old vehicle).

Other than an expensive trip to the dealers to plug in does anyone have any ideas.

Cheers

But only ground pin 6 (not both 6 and 3). Worked for me, hope it does for you too.
