Default Code 17 - Injector 4

Hello,

Any ideas why I am getting Code 17 which translates to Injector 4? Car won't start up : I got fuel in the rail, sparks, and all 4 injectors are shut off. when i had some fuel leftover in the manifold it started up, and it shut back off once that fuel was consumed.

So far I checked the injector resistance, and compared it with the one next to it. both were 12.5 ohms. Next i measured the resistance i am getting trough the plug: both were around 160kOhms.

I don't know what to check next.

P.S. Injectors I bought them now, they never run in the car before.

Setup is:

Version 4 uk (MY98). Running with newage sti 550cc injectors and CDF fuel rails (parallel setup). Fuelab fpr set at 3bar.

No fuel whatsoever going trough the injectors, but there is plenty of fuel in both lines + return.

Kind Regards.

If this is the case, how can it's just 1 injector error code when there are at least 2 with 12.5Ohms. (i stupidly didn't check the other 2).

Do the newage injectors require a different plug or the classic and newage the same as pins could be in different places

I've also heard cases of the cam or crank sensor plug getting mixed up with the injector plug, one of them must be the same plug connection.

Yes. been there last year when i first upgraded to 440's .that was an easy fix as I had 1 plug hanging about.

Fuel-lines are fitted correctly .

This being a version 4 car, all I had to do is cut a bit of the top-plug away and it fits onto the existing newage plugs. Polarity does not matter for the injectors: they don't have a + or - input.
