Thinking of treating the track toy to some new stoppers, mainly because I can't bring myself to spend the ££££'s yet for my rotated setup
I know AP's have a good reputation and have done for many years, just want to get opinions on whether or not a well setup Brembo system will give the AP's a good run for there money or not?
Mine is currently running a performance pad (not sure exact type) and uprated discs with braided hoses all around. I've done several track days on them and they performed well.
So then, worth the extra £'s or keep the Brembo's and go with a race pad and disc setup??

AP's are hard to beat
...but the Performance Friction two piece disc set up and their uprated Zrated pads or PF01 pads work superb with Brembo o.e calipers,I have driving that set up hard at 500bhp on a friends car with no fade whatsoever with the PF01 pads.SJ.

Sounds to me like your money will be better spent on some driver tuition if you're not smoking brembos on track days.
Joking aside, by the time you have bought 2 piece discs and race pads you'll be better off selling your current set up and putting the combined sum into a set of AP's, no need to go for 6 pots and then have to fork out for new wheels, the 4 pots will do the job perfectly and no need to buy new wheels as they fit behind most 17's.
I have the AP CP6600 4pot kit (extra seals
) with God speed 2 piece discs and bells and they just take everything I throw at them.

AP's are superb but the PF two piece disc and pads would give you more then enough stopping power with the o.e Brembo calipers. If money is not a concern and you have a couple of grand laying around then go for the AP's if not the o.e brembos can be made to work superbly with the right choice of uprated disc and pads.SJ.

Car is only running around 310 currently with a mild PPP but I am planning on going rotated over the winter with a Borg Warner EFR and supporting mods, so circa 430-450 as a rough target. The car is mainly a trackday toy but want to dip my toe in to sprints and hill climbs next year so anything I do now is aimed for future outings, save buying twice.

The Brembo caliper is good but its also bulky, and can suffer with heating up under "VERY" heavy use,AP's are a better option for your intended usage if your car is going to be used primarily for track, hill climbing etc...SJ.
