godspeed disappointment.
Bought some carbon lorriane rc6 pads in March for the 4 pots for £140 and now they want £155. That's more than the sti pads I had before which are one 1/3 bigger.

The cost of a pad is not necessarily proportional to size, and cost from suppliers is not dictated by the end seller.

it kills me to buy pads sp frequentbut just is no substitue for stopping when doing 20 mins solid at a time.
always happy with how competitive they are on price and always got them to me if needed in desperation for the next day

I managed 127 miles on s front set. Maybe my balance is wrong but when it's a fun hobby and I have no sponcership using my own money. A 10 minute phone call to save even £10 is worth it. At the end of the day, a £15 increase is just not on by any one. There loss as with all gossip, word and mouth will follow as already happened.

At the end of the day my point is very clear. An increase of £15 is totally out of order. I've found another supplier and others should know about it.

It's not £15 , after ringing them and asking it's £10 , and with us using DPD who cost £8.95 with a next day delivery , Driftwork quoted us £6.50 first class post untrackable , so the difference is even less for the actual pads .
I guess we , and probably everyone on here find it unbelievable you would actually start a thread about it !

Sorry OP but you're being a little bit short sighted, maybe it would be better if you sat down and had a little think about the big picture before you start a thread with a title like that, as it doesn't reflect well on you.
As for Godspeed, they get a big thumbs up from me, quality service and good advice, when I had a problem with the wrong pads (my fault) there was no quibbling, they just sorted it.

Hundreds of members read this forum. Godspeed decided to increase its pads £15 from my order in april. All I am saying there are others selling with better prices and Driftwoks.com came up trumps. Cheers.

The OP has obviously not run a business and to start a thread and try and drag Godspeed's name through the mud is wrong. For £10! I for one feel for Godspeed here an unfair post the Mods should remove it.

Ian as its time for me to hoodwink the TÜV for a while I'm forced to take your Godspeed 335mm's disks off. Not sure if you can get them but would you mind sending me a PM with a price for a set of WRX 4 pot caliper RC 6's Front on Standard discs. Cheers Ralph
When I called CL asking about what was TÜV certified, ( CL assure me they can give me a TÜV cert. ) So with rusty French (used to live in Athis Mons near Orly), I asked where I could get supply, they informed they won't sell direct to Germany, they only sell via distributors and gave me Sandtler GmbH in Bochum 00 49 232798780 who in turn drew a blank for TÜV cert on the RC5+ pads. Then they asked if I spoke English and advised me to try Paul Chance on +44 01527 332194 who is the CL sole distributor in UK. That seemed pointless as they sell to Godspeed.
The interesting thing about CL is that they supply the brake material for the German high speed trains and the RC6 is in fact a development from the third generation , that thankfully don't stink like rotting eggs anymore , but do take 900°C , Since the Eschede train crash the Germans took the subject of brakes extremely seriously, I had a chat with a mate of mine who works at Frankfurt Depot "DB Fahrzeuginstandsetzung" and he swaps the Faiveley brakes materials in to replace older poorer braking materials. Aparently not while they last longer but because stopping a high speed train from well over 200mph took a better pad materials that didn't wear the discs out every week and only the French had experience with these extreme speeds from the TGV. So Faively just bought out Carbonne Lorraine.

I remember back in the day when members said thanks for a good service, rather than just complain.
Sign of the times unfortunately.

Looking from an out side point of view.
I think that the op was sold pads at x price unknown to him that supplier had none in stock so was told the price. When the pads came back into stock they were then more expensive. Not really his fault that the supplier sold pads that he never had in stock.
Was the op told this? Probly not!
Darrell you mention that in your own post WHEN drift works run out there will be a price increase. That's acceptable.
But at the end of the day in the grand scale of thing op it's only £15 but I see your point.
