Default Wheels for Bugeye - max wide with no modifications

Hello 2 all , one question about wheels. Like I said in title what is the max wide wheel for bugeye to fit 225/40/18 tires without and mods like roll fenders to fit perfectly with no rubs
For example 18x8 ET35 (I had those and I think It can be wider)

seems to me that an 18x8 in ET35 is pretty big already but I'm sticking with the 17s

Alright mate,I've got the Bugeye and I've got 18x8.75 et36 5x100.Thats the widest you'll get away with legally without rolling the wheel arch..I haven't lowered it yet or fitted coilovers so not sure if any rubbing will occur!!..

Just to give you an idea that's how a 17x9 et40 sits with no tyre.
8.5" rim offset 35-45 is prob the limit with no arch roll, even then still might catch if really low!
