Just to be smug, if I can be in a Skoda
I'm still amazed that I filled up on Friday night for Saturdays fun. Drove there with you all and watched you brim your tanks (and Jerry cans for some), enjoyed the track and then drove home. Went to w*rk on Saturday night (Leeds to Wakey) and back home, then again on Sunday. Popped out for some stuff today and will be out tomorrow teaching with the HALF A TANK I've still got left

I also feel a little smug about every time I went out on track, when I measured myself against the Scoobs out there they weren't gaining on me, but I also wasn't catching them. I know it isn't a Scoob, and certainly not my old one but it's a long way from disappointing. Scott seemed to enjoy the brief lap he had as we went to rescue POB, and Paul (new guy) enjoyed his laps

Sorry mate... it's still a SKODA... loads of MPG and defo fun on the track... but it's still a SKODA...
It still suffers from the badge regardless of who builds it and actually how nice it is to drive...
Regardless of how much you're impressed.. I'd wager it won't be long before you're behind the wheel of a rear wheel drive, terrible MPG, head turning motor with character...

Not to defend a skoda by any stretch of the imagination but Saturday was a big learning for me, firstly how much i can't drive fast, and secondly how much fun it is learning .
When Dave took me out in the oil burner it was a great help i am sure out of the many corners i got at least 2 or 3 of them bang on by the end of the day. Can't wait to get myself a spare set of wheels the next time i go to Blyton so i can push the car that bit more. And Hopefully will have the suspension mods that Dave advised before we revisit...
Would have loved to mingle more and meet some of the other guy's and gals and our Jordan My 10 Year old was Really Maaad that i didn't take him as he loves racing and was quite talented in the go-kart's down at the track in Batley..
Hope to see you tom...
Regards Paul
