Did he "do" anyone else?

Hi,
I didn't get to speak to many of you at the weekend, but those of you who I spoke to were very friendly and made me feel welcome. I have been "lurking" on here for a while and have found it a good source of info about my MY98 which I brought over to Belgium with me while I'm over here. Now I have a question for you.
I assume that the black Skoda was with you as he had a scoobynet sticker on the back. Please tell me it is not any where near standard. On Friday in the dry he went flying by me on Fuchsrohre, cut the curb into Adenau and that was the last I saw of him that lap. He overtook me twice more in the dry on Friday, once up through Kesselchen and another time through Pflanzgarten.
On Saturday when it was wet I saw he was there again. I thought he wouldn't catch me in the wet. The only time he seemed to have any trouble was with traction out of corners, again he passed me up Kesselchen and was gone before we got to the Karussel. Is he 4 wheel drive? He seemed to be overtaking a lot of things and I overheard some of the Escort owners muttering about a F-ing quick black Skoda, in fact I saw him overtake the same one on 2 occasions, along with passing the 22B on another lap. I only noticed on Sunday that he had a years Ring pass. Is he a regular there? He never seemed to be parked for long enough for me to say hi. He also always seemed to have a passenger, you lot I assume.
To the Skoda driver, some questions:
Is it standard? (Please say no)
If you are going again, can I have a lap with you? (Please say yes)
Frank

'Twas me and the answers to your questions are No and Yes respectively.
Ah, Mr Felstead, that would have been whilst we were doing the photo shoot of the Reyland Cossie I believe Must confess your sport was very impressive through the corners, it seemed better balanced than the turbos, just lacking grunt on the straights.

Tavia embarrassed allot of people that had spent allot of money on their cars.
I seem to recall the only mods were suspension and an exhaust. No he didn't have 4WD or a big brake conversion!!! Std front wheel drive and "single" pot front brakes!!!!(I think he said)
Though there is no substitute for experience (knowing the track!!!) and believe me he knows the track.
Tavia thanks for the ride of the weekend, I just love seeing their faces when you come storming past in a Skoda
Iain.

Come on, tell the truth, you've got one of those brake support brackets. This hardly makes your car standard and is a real unfair advantage I'd say

PS have you answered my mail yet.....
