Cool Lovely in The Dales yesterday

My first outing in my little Furby in my spiritual home, The Yorkshire Dales, and I have to say she performed brilliantly. Speeds may have been 30-40mph lower than my old Scooby, but I was impressed with her composure and fluidity when eased through high speed bends. Took in Ribblehead, Buttertubs (both directions), Hawes to Richmond via Aysgarth, back and down through Kettlewell to Grassington, on towards Pateley Bridge and then down over Greenhow Hill for the drop past the reservoirs to Otley and back home.

Stopped for some pics in Hardraw and on Buttertubs.....

Had a fraction over 1/2 a tank when we left home and the chime went 5 miles from home, TC says 40 miles left and average 40mpg. The Scooby would have used a whole tank at least and returned 12-16mpg, although I must admit, it was worth every penny I didn't have

PS - Excuse the awful wheeltrims (Transit van trims) but I can't risk the alloys with learners

Not a chance Zero'd the trip computer at the bottom of Ribblehead and averaged 71mph to the end

As I've found out with the clio you can have a lot of fun at 20mph if its sideways round a roundabout

I've got one too! Cool colour on a chunky cheeky car.
Can't talk the mrs into one of the new limited met blue ones now as she likes this one too much.
Thank god you explained the wheels Dave. I assumed you'd had the proper ones nicked. The o/e alloys are one of the nicest standard equipment's out there.
Is my 'Best £ for £ car' quote valid then?

They certainly are impressive little things. When you consider I bought ours for a £100 each more than my old Scoob just sold for, then maybe not. But then again, my old Scoob was 4 years old with over 60k on the clock, whereas the Furby's have 3k and are 1yo.

Considering the new price, there's little else IRO £12k to touch them for performance, handling and feedback I suppose.

Nah, not me mate. Had a play against a 350Z the other day and he raped me on the straight (as expected) but I was back up his chuff through the bends. As the road straightened, he looked at the car in front and slowed, I looked at the road ahead and floored it, passing them both in total safety and sooting them up

Daz, the Fab is wifey's really but I do 70% of it's mileage (20k!!). I've still got the STi which has 5k on the clock.
Trouble is that the Skuda is quite good fun & on a run like today from home to Filey & back it averages 62.5mpg! I'd have got 20 max from the Sub & with family in no extra 's. I save the proper car for solo pleasures!!!
Blyton's a maybe. Got spare wheels/tyres sorted, Defi's - check. No reason not to cept work situ.
Will leave it late as per........
