1 X Number plate light £9.95!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3000 miles and it needs two new headlights and a new steering rack? What happened to Warranties?

For the first time ever, it makes Scoob ownership look cheap

All I can say is .. road use? is this seriously built as a track car!!! most things on the list compare with running a subaru "but" the streering rack & bushes, track rods etc, is it not covered on warranty of some kind!!!

As they say you pays your money

Rack bushes and rod ends,, WTF ??

24hours, you know what I am thinking. seriously I could of done that on your atom in 4-6 very most, even less given how accesable everything is.

time for a change mate before next one is due, god knows what you'll have to get though to compete with the performance, maybe visit NASA website

Did he thump something to kill the rack, rod ends, etc. ??????

3 days work, if they pulled all four corners off to replace tie rod ends and re-set geometry????

Having seen Dazza's up close, my opinion is that it LOOKS easy to access most bits, BUT....

Glad I gotta Scoob....Whew !

From what i can tell the rod ends on Atoms are not sealed, so are not designed for road use, however from what i can remember they are very large so the wear should be minimal. We ran a mini on the road with Rod ends and that lasted 2 years before we had to change them and they where a lot smaller. I will enquire about seal kits for the rod ends as this would prolong there life.
We would love to service your car, the only problem I see is our lane to our workshop is twice as long as the one to Scoobyclinc and twice as bumpy. but i an sure we could send the trailer or wagon down to the bottom to pick it up. I will have a a word with Del (the guy i do the racecars with) tomorrow and let you know.

Cheers Andy

Sweet....
I can must a few WYIOC members to to carry it...
The rose joints are from tuthill i think, and about £30-£40 each...
I think Ariel are making a meal of it really... the only item that should need any form of real servicing is the suspension components and then only the rose joints... as you say they arn't protected but still one Atom owner managed to change them in an afternoon and not have to have the car geom done... he simply made acurate measurments of the threads and put them back together...
I'm strugling to think of what else needs servicing other than a good snapper checkup around the car...
thanks for getting back Andy... I'll leave it with you...
ta
Daz

BTW if you get Evo this month, the Atom was 2 seconds quicker around Bedford than the McLaren F1 and 1.5 seconds quicker then the Enzo and Carerra GT

The robbing gits. i would tell them in a letter that they have just lost your future business due to your outrageous service charge - and that what it is to be honest mate, feckin' outrageous.

If anyting i thought it would be a lot cheaper to service than a Scoob, Honda Engine and easily accessable.

Andy S will sort it for you, for a fraction i would imagine!

Well done Andy.
