Did anyone see a Police MPV on the A644 (Huddersfield Road) on the way out of Dewsbury this morning (Around 7.45am)
The guy was parked on the central reservation sat looking out of the back with the tailgate open looking at a Laptop screen, I couldn't see a camera anywhere (Wasn't going too fast to notice either ) and I am just curious as to what they were doing

 

Probably ANPR. Nothing to worry about if you're taxed, MOT's and insured.

they are there every monday mainly dinner times with speed gun be careful

 

With the speed guns, don't they actually have something outside the car/van though and a "Police Presence" etc?

 

As Dave says the tailgate open and laptop is tax & general dodgyness....thankfully.

Normally the speed ones are vans painted up as opposed to cars.

 

ANPR usually have a Police presence as they have one car scanning and often another 2 at least, and even some bikes or vans to do the pulling. sCamera's don't need additional enforcement as the pic is enough to generate the NIP. If they're using an older radar or non-recording device they either pull you or radio ahead for additionals to pull you. I think !

30mph limit on a dual carriageway up hill
always buses in left lane so very easy to come round bend uphill overtaking to find mr unmarried parents sat there!
