Very bad luck there or it was already on it's way before you got hold of it which I suspect was the case, not good.

I bet it was the worst feeling in the world,I know what you mean about the missus fella as mine has been good as gold with me and the car although there are times where she has a dig about the amount of money spent.

Tbho I couldn't put a figure spent to date but it's defo 10k plus and that's without any labour with me being a mechanic/painter by trade BUT because I do it myself I had the option of buying parts in stages to go with what money I had but your going to have to fork out the engine money in one go which hurts bad I'm afraid so I really feel for you.

3500 for a full rebuild you lot are either insane or at home lighting cigars with fiftys surely unless its going over 420hp there is no need to go further than sti 7/8/9 parts
which can be done for half the amount

sorry if i sound tight but its alot of money to spend to have a oil pump or maf give up on your spanglin new engine at any point

No you never ya gayer..why rebuild std its only gonna do the same then you really be crying we can do a fully forge build with that money you might even get a fair bit of change aswell and we would use better parts as our engine build brand new nitrided crankshaft acl race bearings h section rods wiesco or mahle forged pistons and cosworther stopper headgaskets for a truly solid engine and turn around in a week
