sorry to hear about your engine its a truly gutting thing to happen. and pleased to hear your mrs is onside too. cant beat comiseration blow jobs

as above mate why spend 3.5k on a standard build when you could drop in a newage sti engine for around 1k, enginetuner will do you a 2.1 for 4.5k fitted !!

I would save my save my money fella, you could buy a newage sti engine for that and still have change enough to buy you replacement engines if it breaks and your missus a holiday to keep her sweet

Cant believe you waited 7 months hammer man! thats insane i would have been ready to kill someone for waiting that long. Was there a reason behind it or was it something you were prepared for?

Several reasons. I kept adding to the build, I didnt have the funds to pay him straight away and I wanted them to take thier time and not rush. I find people make mistakes when they rush and I didnt want them to make any on my car. As my car had been off the road for a year (the last garage knackered my engine and didnt want to put things right), I felt that a few more months hardly mattered.
My money, my choice..

Very bad luck there or it was already on it's way before you got hold of it which I suspect was the case, not good.
Every penny of the build cost was what Initial D asked for. No surprises, no increases, we did what he asked for.

CAREFUL what you say. Stirring about prices and what you can do [ and guessing what we might do ] is not nice. We have said what we needed to say to Tim and like all of our customers, we will look after him and make what he has got to spend, go as far as possible.

There are not many people on here that have been unhappy with our work or our bills and that reputation is hard earned.

I do not take kindly to competitors [ if that's what you think you are ] trying to make a customer think he is not going to get a fair deal here.

Enough already.

David I think you have the wrong end of the stick there if you read I said and complimented you in saying how you have been doing it alonge time and your prices are well earned??as for competitors your on a public forum there is a lot of people going to have there own opinions and can voice them how ever they want we as a company haven't slated you or as anyone on here i dont see..I personally like you as a person and as a company as we look after a few local people who has your rebuilds and cannot knock them but there is always cheaper options out there that is what everyone is getting at I think but it's down to tim it's his money and sure everyone wishes him the best with it

Hopefully that clears that up

Just want to say thanks to every one who has helped on this threat and said nice things to make me feel better lol Now that's out the way with

I Had a nice chat with David today and I'm very happy for Api to take the car on Wednesday the plan is to brake the car down and see whats gone on then decide what to do . 1st Idea was a Sti rebuild and every think uprated and new also might have a new turbo not sure what yet and a few little treats then a running in map then after 1000 miles full check up then mapped to 1.3 bar hopefully see figures around 340bhp to 360bhp . David talked me throw every think on the phone and was very helpful it sound good to much to list tho !!! Also want to say thank you to Simon who works at Api

2nd thoughts are to have a full forge rebuild but my thoughts on this are unsure because I'm not sure off what power I want from the car also the cash involved .

Iv also been invited down to Api on sat to see whats what and check the place out I understand all this will take time just want to get started lol will keep posting

Sarcasm.......... don't you just love it

Mitman if your not looking to sell it anytime soon it doesn't really matter how much money you plough into it just as long as you get the enjoyment out of it thought you used to take your car to pole position though for work or am I getting the wrong end of the stick?

Anyone else noticed everyone on scoobynet is very on edge (including myself) lately? Seems to be a lot of tension in the air.

+1

Can't fault Keith at all.

My Legacy is in there at the moment going for a fully forged, closed deck stroker conversion. Ultimate aim is to run a GT30 to it's full potential in a reliable fashion.

His build's are stunning as is his attention to detail.

Here's my car on their web site
