T`was bent valves after all...
Just thought I`d let you know, (as a few people had asked me to tell them) that my compression loss on my engine was bent valves after all. 2 exhaust valves, bad enough to give a 30% drop in compression on 2 cylinders. I wont be fitting anything on my car from "gizzmo UK" again. They deny any responsability but I didnt get anything else fitted or changed on the car between having it mapped by Pat after the twin-scroll conversion(showing good compression), then Thwaites fitting the gizzmo, and then Pat finding the compression loss on the rolling road at the clinic a few weeks later. Sorry its taken so long to advise those of you who had asked, but its taken a while for me to save up for the repair work.
I will let you all draw your own conclusions in this matter

No damage caused, thankfully. The gizzmo had only been fitted for a couple of weeks. Pat discovered the compression loss. The clinic removed it straight away, and re-mapped it for very low boost. I took the gizzmo back to Thwaites for a refund, and a compression/leak test, and only used the car once more after that. After that its been off the road. You can only ponder about what else could of happened had it of stayed on. Still, a lesson learnt, all be it an expensive one. I hope others learn from my misguidance...

Not quite,,, forged 2.5 block, pistons, valves, blah blah blah. SC46 billet twin-scroll turbo, hybrid fmic, simtek, and a few other "supporting" bits and bobs. Yes, I cant wait to get it back but Im not rushing it. When your cars been off the road for a year, a few more weeks dont matter. Looking forward to the summer.
