Default Boost pressure

Hi just wondering what sort of pressure should the blobeye wrx turbo standard run ? also ive just fitted a boost gauge when the cars running on tick over it says boost is -8 and then when driving it goes upto just before 1 bar would that sound about right ..

hi mate you will only get boost when driving so dont worry about the - figure.

By the sounds of it your WRX maybe mapped hence the 1.0bar (unmapped are less)
(or your gauge is inaccurate/a cheap one)

Get it down to Thwiates Developments (details on our site) for a check over if you are still unsure

Hi thanks for the replys guys the gauges are prosport gauges not sure weather any good heard a bit about them tho . Im thinkin a lil trip to thwaites then ha ha will he be able to plug in and have a look then ?

Hi chap, I've got the same gauge as yourself on my 54 reg wrx. Mine reads 1 bar at boost but I do have an uprated air filter. Standard you should get between 0.7-0.8 bar although recently in the cold weather mine has been over-boosting to 1.2 eeeeek!

Also got the same gauge and mine over reads slightly

Thanks again for replys it seems to boost 0.9 bar but does alter very slighty. I'm gonna go to thwaites when I get chance still to get some prices: )
