Default Boost gauge Installation Help!

Hi All, I've decided i fancy myself a boost gauge, I've been reading up alot about them but i have one question....... where is the best place to run the vaccum line to get to the the gauge?
I'm probably going to use the grommit by the pedals or behind the IC, but i would like my pod just behind the steering wheel. Where is the best place to run the vacum line without crushing it?
Cheers

there is a bung in the passenger footwell that i have run my vacumm pipe but i have my gauges in a centre pod. you can always cut a small hole in the rubber bung so it doesnt pinch the hose but i would recommend getting some proper vacumm hose from either ebay or a motor-factors ( i think i paid about £3.00 for 5 metres). dont use the cheap crap clear stuff that normally comes with the guages as it goes soft when hot.
