Hey guys, as the P1 celebrates it's 10th birthday this year, Prodrive have put an event together to be held at their Banbury headquarters on Sunday 9th May.

All Subaru's are welcome to attend, and any P1's are invited to be parked at the front of Prodrive, with the organisers attempting to gather as many of the cars there possible.

It all kicks off at 10:00am, however you are a P1 owner, you will need to be parked up by 9:30am.

(There will be marshalls on the day to point you in the right direction to park your cars)

Finish time 15.00pm

I've spoken to the guys over at p1woc and told them I will keep them posted about the numbers our club will be bringing. So far there are almost 100 P1's on the list on p1woc due to attend, with many other Subaru's making the trip there, including other clubs - so naturally I'm hoping we produce a good turnout!



On the day, Prodrive will be opening the Heritage Centre so people will be able to see all the cars in there, plus the Prodrive shop will be open (which I've been told will have a 25% discount off all parts and merchandise)

Prodrive are just off Jnc 11 off the M40 in Banbury, but in true West Mids Impreza's style, we'll be putting a convoy route together for us all to travel down there!

P1 WOC merchandise for sale on the day

MEETING POINTS AND CONVOY ROUTE

Ok people, here is the plan:

As proceedings at Prodrive (OX16 3ER) are due to kick-off at 10am I propose we aim to LEAVE our adopted home of Stechford Retail Park (B33 9AN) at 8:30am on Sunday 9th May.

The route will take us down the Coventry Road (A45), M42, Warwick Road, Warwick Bypass, and the M40.

This will take us down some jolly nice roads, and is in fact the quickest and most direct route making it convoy-friendly


43.2 mi – about 1 hour 4 mins

Start at Birmingham, West Midlands B33 9AN

1. Head northwest on Flaxley Pkwy toward Flaxley Rd 0.1 mi
2. Slight left at Iron Ln 194 ft
3. Take the 1st left to stay on Iron Ln 105 ft
4. Continue onto A4040/Station Rd
Continue to follow A4040
Go through 1 roundabout 1.9 mi
5. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Coventry Rd 0.1 mi
6. Take the ramp onto A45/Coventry Rd 4.5 mi
7. Take the ramp to M42/M6/M1/M40/M5 0.1 mi
8. At the roundabout, take the 5th exit onto the M42 ramp to M5/London/Solihull/Warwick/M40 0.6 mi
9. Merge onto M42 2.9 mi
10. At junction 5, take the A41 exit to Solihull 0.2 mi

Sorry you can't make this one Paul, you gotta love the Sun Holidays though! I went to Devon with the mrs last year probably spent £150 for the whole week all-in (inc food, petrol etc!)

There are now 100 P1's listed on the P! website as going to Prodrive. Is anyone from the Midlands going down the M42 and M40? Would like to join a group if possible. Are there any more P1's from the Midlands we can take along?

My old man (Steve) and his mate Rich would like to join you guys half way on your convoy.
They will be waiting in Chadwick End (at the Orange Tree) and will join the back of the que when you drive past. Dad will be in a dark green classic wagon, Rich will be in a blue bugeye STI.
Unfortunately I cant make this as im in Wales but I hope you guys have a great time!
