I'm not in York, but do go about once every couple of weeks (was there yesterday as my car was in for its 1,000 service). I do wave though, but am getting put off by the fact that only 1 in 6 wave back!!

I wave but my wife tells me off for being childish...
I now only do it if I get eye contact then usually get a reply.

I'm about Leeds/York alot. I wave if I get a chance as I did to another scoob on the york ringroad today who waved back.

Depending on how fast I'm going I will always wave back - whether you see it or not is another matter
