I agree with a time and place, town centres with shoppers and children in tow is not one of them!

No wonder the marque is seen as Chavvie these days

The fact that it was a narrow road going though a Town centre is surely enough reason for anybody to be driving slowly? Or does the fact that there "Couldn't have been traffic" on a narrow Town Centre road give reason to drive Dangerously

What some call dangerous isnt what others do Pikey... i get waved at by old people going the speed limit to slow down, just because the noise my Nurspec makes

5mph just seams slow unless there was a reason and what i asked .......

The reason was in the guys original post though in all fairness , I understand your point but I would assume as the guy knew the colour and that it had graphics that he saw the Car, Unless he has poor judgement of sound and vision I am happy to assume the owner of said vehicle was driving to fast with the facts stated And surely being a Subaru owner himself and not an old person gives him the benefit of the doubt?

Lol define "old" then? I'm 27 but I have enough sense to know driving like an idiot in built up places is dangerous, As already said there is a time and a place for it, Definately not in a town centre though , I can't understand the mentality of people wondering why "canin" your Car through a town centre is frowned upon, Maybe I'm just Old, Boaring and like to moan

After givin it some serious thought I can only assume that when the above have stated that there is a time and place for cainin it they mean on a track.

Wether your cainin it on a rural road or a town centre you the " cainee " will be putting other members of the public at risk.

Seriously? You still cannot see why you should not drive like that in a Town centre? Your true to a point about it not mattering where you drive that way but anyone with common sense would know a place like that is just plain stupid, There is a massive difference between some rural roads and Town centres including the speed limits usually There are a thousand reasons why you should drive sensibly, Give me one reason why you should drive dangerously?

was it a 20 or a 30 zone because at 5mph you might as well walk . if its a 20 i can never resist doing 20 in second gear cos it winds the old farts up cos they think you are going faster than you are cos of the noise and it makes them get out of the way pavements are for people roads are for cars it boils my **** when people walk on the roads in our town centre before the 10am pedestrian ation zone if enforced

I love how everyone jumps to the sensible and mature approach here like they have never gave it the beans in a public place. I'm all for public safety but why the f@ck you all driving subarus and spending thousands to make them faster if your all such law abiding citizens. I'm not being a stickle here or promoting erratic behaviour but seriously your all lying bastages if your telling me you have never done it and I don't care how old you are. You were all kiddies once . Me personally, I leave it till the 5am dual carriageway run to work if I toe it.

must admit it does depend on the time of the day and street in question. now if its the street festa888 is on about thats a 30 mph limit, ive been up it many of time and do give it some in 1st gear and boost!! and dump it before the speed hump. not breaking any laws but what an awsome feeling and big big smile.

It's all well and good but it only takes the one little kiddie to jump out then it's game over. Is it all worth it for a bit of boost. That's the argument for me, I don't agree with it but piddles me off when people put an act on like they have never done it. Admittedly, iv done it in some right bad places in the heat of the moment but I don't pretend to be summit im not.

I know which road it is, I'm from midlands but have family in losTwithiel and fowey

Your first point is my point, I don't act like I have never done that in a town centre with narrow roads and people around mate, I haven't full stop Now on other roads, Motorways and such I don't have to worry about kids running out in front of me so thats a different matter, Most of you just seem to be condoning driving like a **** through town centres and openly admitting it then trying to argue that it's ok as other people must do it

ah but now we get to that time thing!! during the day like 8am-8pm is a no no but what about after say 9pm road is clear? not the ideal place to do it but is anywhere???? other than a track, but kids could jump out in front as your going through the pits!! but all ifs!!lol. i love boosting but its only blipping the throttle and dumping off!!!
