Crikey a mention of Hilldene Av brings back memories, used to live there over 40 years ago. Probably hasn't changed much though.

Don't remember it being too dangerous
I vaguely remember some scallywag making off with my prize conker once, I was only about 7
Now I come to think of it the Fish and Chip shop got torched, we moved to Barkingside shortly after that.
