So they say....... afaik most chase cars have suspension and brake tweaks.
My mate bought an old t5 ex chase car and it had bigger brakes, an extra 40 bhp and an after market lsd!
I reckon the scobs and evos have at least brake and suspension tweaks(i.e aftermarket pads and discs and slightly stiffer standard height springs).
After all these cars are for keeping up with similarly modded machinery!

i guess they wouldnt need them quicker as the choppers are dispatched within minutes and unless u can do more then 150 and much quicker, theres no chance of outrunning that. think the police said once that these cars really give them the go they need when on a chase, and someone pulls infront of them on a motorway and thus makes more space between them and the suspect, whos now got alot further, and they need the oomph to catch up,
yeah right lol. if i was to be a police officer id definitely prefer being a traffic officer in one of these beasts

Copper cars are totally standard, the only things that they upgrade is the breaks and sometimes the supension but that depends on how good the original one is.
They buy cars for power/performance to easily keep up with the offenders. People who say they buy the Volvo T5 and then chip them are talking w**k the T5 can reach 170+mph without any problems which is why they buy them. If they can't keep up they have the chopper.
The only reason I know this is because my best mate's dad is a Motorway Patrolman and drives a T5 up and down the motorways.
Which is also why they are using STi's instead of WRX's, GB270's and they use the FQ330 upto 400. They wouldn't need modding when you think about it logically.

funny....i had a ex police vectra gsi once, that had aftermarket pads, was also remapped with extra bhp etc. not all police cars are standard. i know THAT as im related to someone who tunes police cars up and also know someone who deals with the police on their cars! not sure about the scoobys etc, but other police cars are modified

Like i said my mate BOUGHT an ex chase car, complete with holes in the dash for all the cop equipment, and safety stickers in the boot!
It has an extra 40 bhp, t5-r brakes and an aftermarket lsd, all confirmed by a volvo modding specialist in cheshire, who said it was a good spec for the money!
So if im talking ****, where did the extra 40 bhp come from?
By the time a volvo chase car is full with all the sh1te coppers need to carry, i bet it weighs two tonnes, 170 mph my ****!
Get your facts right before you accuse people of talking "****", you clown!
