ive always found him to be a decent bloke. in the media etc, hes always polite, signs autographs, and the charity work hes done with that young blonge lass was really good of him.

Amazing that some people can call others tossers without knowing them personally 
The fact that the guy has represented his country at the highest levels, run football academies for future players and undoubtably raised countless thousands, probably millions, for worthy charities, IMHO, certainly does not make the guy a tosser.
I wonder what opinion he would have of a Billy No Mark from Essex if he could be bothered.

Tom Cruise is one of the most liked and sucessful actors because of the way he treats his fans. Becks is a personal friend of Cruise, and has learnt from a crowd pleasing master. Thats why he stops and signs autographs.
