spotted on saturday morning outside the vatican entrance a black blobeye saloon very nice indeed.

. the suprising thing was that the black one never had a mark on it were as every other car in rome has scrapes and dents so the pope must be a good driver

One day we were waiting to cross a major junction and a car jumped the lights - the Italian guy next to me booted the rear passenger door and left a big dent in it.
The driver of the car didnt even get out or say a word!

in rome you need to concentrate on the thing in front of you, if everyone does the same then all will be fine, who cares about mirrors ,just look ahead!!

after seeing the way they drive i can totally understand why the pope kisses the floor when he arrives somewhere
. they dont stop at red lights and the taxi driver we got to the airport just put his hand on the horn at every junction and then shouted and screamed at everyone, i was p*ssing myself laughing and the wife was nearly crying . i think you can actually ask for bumps and scratches to be applyed to your car when they make it as even the brand new ones were wrecked.

iwas there on saturday for the rugby, didnt see any scoobs but there was about 15 wee fiat 500s on sunday morn all lined up in the square, there were a couple of tasty (ok quaint!) abarth versions too!
