That's the norm these days when a garage gets the car, they ask the previous owner to verify the mileage. My old Pug was traded in when I bought the scoob, then a couple of months later it had shown up at Sandicliffe Ford

Yeah mate,
Oaken are signed up to a mileage check thing - every car they sell, or part ex gets a mileage check from an independant company.
I got a mileage check thing when I part-exed my Rover
for my Scoob!
Oaken are a top notch dealer (IMHO), so no dodgy goings on here!
This is all to prove that Oaken don't get involved with fiddles - and also gives you a lot of confidence when you're buying from them.
If you're concerned, give Keith or Monty @ Oaken a ring and I'm sure they'll explain it all to you.
