Oh & what a way to join the SN community. Some people wait months to get a "was it you" post & your first post was in reply to one.
If you live around this way then we have the sussex meet every 1st Sunday of the month organised by Dyney. It's actually today in 20 mins (12:00pm) at Pease Pottage Services & then off to the flight tavern for a bevvy

an MY96 silver WRX with silver 5-spokes (on a WRX plate) ..... not to be confused with the asian guy in Crawley with an MY95 silver WRX with silver 5-spokes - his looks much cooler with clear indicator lenses !
My WRX is a nice-looking car but totally standard (apart from a little bit of ICE and the usual security). I picked it because it looks smart but is relatively subtle and "grown up".
My proper boy racer car which I'm much more noticeable in is my modified old Mini Estate with blacked out windows and BIIIIIIIIG exhaust (don't laugh, I've spent nearly as much on that as the Scoob !!) - quicker than a Mk3 Golf GTi, which I regularly demonstrate where conditions allow

Gotta say I used to have a Mini & they're mental fun if modified. One day i'm gonna buy another one & might have to get KAD involved in the engine build
Mate of mine had a 1275GT & sent the engine off to some company in Germany. Cost him a bomb but it came back a 1460 race spec monster. Top end it would do 140 :O:O & 60 in under 6 :O:O
Might have seen your Mini around actually? Can't remember the colour of the one I saw but I think it might have been blue?

Mine is metallic Peugeot Miami Blue with silver 10" alloys and a 2.5" stainless exhaust. Sitting quite low now since I had my adjustable suspension put on a few weeks ago. Deep front spoiler with driving lamps and a square number plate at the front to make it stand out a bit more. Chrome 'GB' badge at the back. Totally blacked out windows (for ICE security). My pride and joy

I had a mini but only drove it home when I bought it.
Stripped it for a project and never got round to putting it back together
Had a fibreglass front that would now be illegal!!!!
Bummer
One day!!!!
