Let you out of a side road in Mansfield on Saturday then followed you up towards the Fox and Crown.
Is that the famous Scoobyclinic 22B?
Sounded good anyway.

Yep that's right.
Hope you weren't putting that budget 95 RON petrol in.
I was in a British Racing Green Rover 75 so not easily spotted as a SIDC and Scoobynet member

Si,
You probably know I sold the Scoob because of Lorraine's back problem. The Alfa was a bit of a compromise, the seating was a lot softer but it still had the sport pack suspension fitted.
Lorraine has been a lot worse over the last year or so, we even had to cancel our holiday to Newquay because she couldn't make the journey.
So I've been on the look out for a comfortable cruiser. I ususally spend around £16k on my car every 18 months or so and had been looking at getting a 2.5V6 75. £16k would get me a year old example from Rover dealers but I stumbled across a 10 month old example at Motorhouse 2000 the new supermarket on the A38 for £10999. New list price is £23270.
Plan is this leaves some spare money for a track day car. Fancy something RWD either Caterham/Westerfield or Mk2 Escort type of thing.
Cheers

Can't think of anyone I know that makes Windows
They do a 1.8 Turbo in the 75 and MGZT. I had a choice of either this engine or the 2.5V6. Motorhouse still have the 1.8T's in stock. The 1.8T is only 150bhp and sounds and feels course IMO. Hasn't got bad btm and mid range but runs out of steem around 5500rpm, not much scope for upping the power either. The 2.5V6 is available in 160, 180 and 190bhp versions in the ZT but only the 180 is available in the 75. The V6 sounds sweet upto the 7000rpm redline so for me it had to be the V6. Only averaging about 22mpg though. (Nearly as bad as the Scoob)
So if this let's you out again it will be me.
Probably catch up with you at a Scooby meets soon anyway.
Cheers
