Hi there,

Went to Micheldever Tyres on Saturday for new rubber all round, met a few of you there, nice to see you all:

- me (red wagon)
- dbm MY00
- white N plate
- black WRX import

They must be doing nicely out of the Subarus... but they did do a good job with my car, I'm very pleased.

Simon.

Hi Neil,

Maybe see you at the Hants meet next time there is one... my Michelin Pilots are doign a good job, not really had much chance to test them.

Car's about to go in for pagid pads, braided hoses, and dot 5 fluid so should be fun after that.

Hi Simon & Neil

Mine was the DBM MY00. Nice to see you both

My gold wheels are taking me a little while to get used to, but I like them even if certain people think they're naff!

It's my first (confirmed) sighting too, although I might have been the one that somebody spotted in Uxbridge earlier this year

S02's seem fine, much better turn-in than the original RE010s, but the steering's a bit floaty around the straight ahead. I'm sure it'll improve once they've scrubbed in.

Do check your tyre pressures, Micheldever pumped random amounts of air into each one for me!

Andy.

Simon,

Where/when is the Hampshire meet held?

I had Michelin pilots on mine before, and I was impressed by them also - but I thought I would try something different this time.

With new tyres on I am realising how bad the brakes on my car are!

Andy,

I think your gold wheels looked splendid!
Much better than my standard 15in's.

Having the tracking done revealed that my Left/Right cambers are set at -0.92 and -0.77. This is apparently out of spec.
Car still feels O.K. tho.

This could be good news for Bridgestone in a few months time!

I am off to check my tyre pressures....

Neil

Hi there,

It was going to be 19th August, but I think it has been combined with one in Guildford this time. This would have been the second one, the first one and hopefully subsequent ones were organised by Paul (Bad Bads on Scoobynet) and we got quite a few people from Scoobynet along, Paul, myself, lpitt, DrEvil, Scooby-tc and a few others.

Keep an eye out in the Southern forum, hope to see you next time.

Simon.
