MY00 DBM 4 Dr - I O W ferry 22-7-01
Hi Rosco,
Stayed at the Clarendon Hotel/Wight Mouse Inn. Godshill Friday afternoon to stock up on cholesterol
, evening ate at the Wight Mouse, sampled some whiskey and Vodka (mainly Vodka) and made use of the extended hours for residents
Sat: Alum Bay, then Ryde (which was a mistake) Couldn't find anywhere decent to eat! Was s'posed to stay and see the fireworks, but events out of my control prevent it.
Sun: Amazon World and IOW railway (which was hosting a gathering of the Triumph 2000 register) Then more Cholesterol
(what is it with women and cream teas)
I would recommend the Clarendon for those going over for the October meet with their kids. Large play area, indoor 'soft play' area and children most welcome in the bar.
Those without children could stay at the annexe across the road for a more quieter, kid free stay

LOL

Yep, we went to the Willow Tree
Not my choice, I prefer the one the other side of the Model Village. Nice crab sarnies.
Daughter had the apple pie.....and I finished it off (which was nice
) My son had the lemon meringue pie (I finished that too), wife had full cream tea with fresh strawberries (no doubt they're actually frozen
) and Me, I had pasty with a carrot cake chaser. Do you also supply the pavlova's (and how much do they cost?)
Not that we went in there for their 'Famous homemade apple pie' but surely that sort of advertising is out-of-order?
