Was that a STI Type RA? I thought it was an RB5 at 1st. Lost you at oxted due to your manouvre at the safeway lights! Was falling back all the way anyway.

MY01 WRblue morettes and a load of other stuff you can't see but can hear. Work in Oxted so often in the area. I'm sure I've seen yours about - has it got a high level spoiler?

The A25 between Redhill and Oxted is a criminal piece of road. Full of Sunday drivers and hardly any decent overtaking spots !

Has anyone had the pleasure of dealing with the local Oxted constabulary ? They don't like noisy cars and condescending doesn't even begin to describe them !

Andy.

Not had a problem with them yet (but they only seem to have a guy on foot with a 'special' in tow). It's avoiding too much noise near the motorway cops coming and going from their command centre in Godstone that often causes some "trying to look inconspicuous moments".

Blimey - saw one of those tonight traveling towards Oxted, gave a flash (lights) no response from driver (female). Didn't seem to have any extra aerials or anything though. I'll keep 'em peeled though.

LOFI - no mine's just got the std spoiler on the back.

Clacketts - there i was thinking that was "Junction 5A" Westerham and Edenbridge! oh the time saved if your coming west up the M20.
Its almost as well used as the morning procession of artics using the A21/A25 to do a "U"eee back onto the M25 in an attempt to avoid the Jnc 5 snarl up!

Nick, I'll keep 'em peeled for you.

As for junction '5A' The barrier is supposed to stay down and only open for emergency vehicles or people staying at the motel who have stopped going east bound. This confirms all the complaints I get!!! Never read any of tnis of course

Hi matt,

No I think that may have been the other P1 that parks on the high street.
Do normally wave though.
Will look out for both of you.

That High Street is too inviting Andy. Just have to watch the women and children though!! Like to boot it by the council building!! Bah to them!

Sorry Nick can't help you there!! I haven't seen a RA just a couple of p1's and classic's. I know that their is a lady who works in Safeway with a P1 as well. I thought they were meant to be rare. Have to go for that GTR Nissan I think.

I shall try to be more restrained by the council building. It is good to wake up the OAP's in the bus stop anyway. Might miss their bus otherwise! They did finght the war for us after all.

Nick was it definitely an STi? I've just remembered that my cousin has an RB5 and is located in the Caterham/Oxted/Westerham triangle.

dont know what it was hence my enquiries! It was the colour of an RB5 had gold wheels and the "WRX" decal central to the rear lights. It also had a decal with "Type ...." but couldn't get close enough to see that.
If it was your cousin - should remember the manuouver at the lights - who'd have thought you could get past two cars in the space of the junction without slammin into the traffic light island (from 3rd in the queue at the lights)
Made me wince and whovever it was only just got away with it- if the front car hadn't have braked - i think that would have been the outcome.
Must have lunched the clutch too!

I doubt it was me but I have waved to loads of Scoobs in Oxted this last few weeks - I have the Black Sti4 Type R with Morettes and clear rears - I'm in Oxted every afternoon and some mornings and evenings too (and my bruv lives in Stn Rd East above a shop so we're often lurking about) - from memory I've waved to the late Sti (black), the black bug-eye wagon (parked by the Gurka kitchen last night), a silver wagon (that was parked on the A25 yesterday afternoon with a square front plate) and I also drool over the T*** KOE P1 with those lovely 18" rims which parks up each day for work in Oxted.

Oh and I drive past the blue classic (very nice) on Westerham green fairly often too on my way to Sevenoaks! There's also a 'sorted' Navy classic around the Marlpit Hill area of Edenbride as well who often heads up towards Oxted and who has waved to me previously...

I love the Scoobie 'burble' you get driving down Station Rd East in traffic.....(shame about that zebra crossing though)

The one in Westerham looked like a p1 and had about 3 parking tickets on it the last time I saw it!! Nasty.

Blimey the Oxted area comes alive

Beancounter - deffo seen you around, actually heard as you must have the loudest P1 for miles. The other Oxted P1 belongs to a certain optician.

Thanks for calling the user name interesting, LoFi as in the opposite of Hi-Fi (except I dropped the '-' some years ago because it takes ages to type as an email address).

As for booting it past the Council offices, keep it up, wakes me from my slumber.

LoFi

No idea on the Sti/RA silver debate, although there is similar I see irregularly on the A22. It has a huge jap style backbox
