Just wanted to say hi to the dude in the Silver Boxster last night who bombed up behind me and started to give it the big un.
Was under the wrong impression that you would be able to pull away from me at the lights.

I have both a Boxster S (260bhp) and an RB5 (250bhp) and all this **** cracks me up - you have no idea!
Boxster is a much better car handling wise and in many other ways(if you know how to drive) and so much quicker above 60mph. But it should be for 20k more.
Dont know about 300bhp power in a scooby but I reckon the S would be evenly matched to it.

Agree that a lot is down to the driver's abilities but......
evenly matched drivers in each, a well set-up Scooby would outhandle and outperform the Boxster every time - you don't see many Boxsters in rallies do yer!!
I'll put it to the test next time I see one :-)

Boxster = budget porsche! lol
Impreza = budget performance car! I have and enjoy my Scoob, but I would rather have a Boxster any day of the week. Personal preference of course, but they look and sound far better and the build quality is fantastic too. Definitley my next car! And no I do not cut hair, bat for the wrong side or pack poo....

one of my house mates has got a boxster, and after driving both that and my scoob, i would have the scoob every day. Just feels more fun to drive.

Boxster may be 'budget' Porsche but it is better than a 'budget' performance car (ie Scooby) in all respects except wet weather press on driving!
Scooby only more fun if you have limited driving ability!
You are deluded if you think your scooby is the same as a rally car. The only bits the same are the bodyshell and dashboard - rally cars have to cope with more than smooth tarmac and are designed as such - the Scooby and Boxster are both road cars!

Are you quoting 300bhp @ the wheels or @ the Crank. On the Scoob the transmission can rob you of 100bhp. In the wet the advantage is there but a Boxter is a much lighter car with a much lower COG and the transmission loss in them is substantially less.

Subaru = good car, but in reality for boy racers 
Porsche Boxster = quality car, just as quick, more suited to the experienced driver...and birds will like it a lot more than the Subaru

The boxster might get the odd glance from some posh totty because of the £'s factor but a good Scooby will attract far greater attention from a far greater audience any day of the week - get real.
