I had a TT try his luck about a fortnight ago, we both come out of an island and blasted down an empty dual carraigeway.
He was quite convincingly left to watch my rear disappear.
I was mildy surprised with the gap attained in a straight blast.
You must have come up against a standard uk model.

Matty, true because even the TT boys say that once the scoob hits 3rd its goodbye larry...
Also, I caught up with a (twin exhaust) TT convertible very quickly in my MY99 when joining a motorway and from the look on his face I think he was really going for it

Blew TT away that tried to under take on the on slip of the A14 at Kettering, he didnt think that a wagon with PPP could give him a run for his money!!!!,he just looked over with a frightened smile . Yes we were both under the speed limit

Had one try it on at the Kidbrooke interchange just before the Blackwall tunnel on the A2, 3 lanes into 2, me in the middle lane at the lights. I couldn't resist, I don't condone racing on the road at all but he wanted to try it on and it was just too good to resist the urge as it was dry and clear road ahead. Lets just say the full decat on mine must make a huge difference as I pulled away from him far too easily.
Even without the decat I am sure he still wouldn't have been anywhere near close. Don't like the TT's so wouldn't have one even if they were quicker than a scoob and I could afford one.

I am registered on the TT Forum and wind them up every now and then - they bite like anything...
In fairness, the TT is a nice car, but it is by no means on a performance level to any Scoob - Even a Sport would be quicker than a 180bhp one...

Silver Audi TT, Leicester ring road, he was pushing me for a bit of a race, I wasn't biting, and just as my S6R Neo alerted me to a Specs camera system he blasted past me doing 70+ mph in a 40, Oh well I thought!
When I got to the roundabout at the top he was only 2 yards in front, all he gained was a few yards and I suspect a lot of points.
