Saw loads.
- Red wagon with (red ?)tinted windows
- Red UK model that was running up and down quater mile strip quite a lot
- Peppermint green scoob with gold alloys. Never seen that colour before was it a one off ?
-Couple of DBM's.
-Green wagon with SIDC sticker leaving Maccy D's (bit lower down the A64) seemed in a bit of a hurry
-Silver WRX - I was parked up next to you and left about one ish in my sonic blue Terzo. Was that a D R Motorsport rear spolier you have ? I've ordered one which looks just like that. Would have spoke to you but it was raining and didn't want to open me windows
-Sorry if i missed any off

:eeek: WHAT?
Mind you, I was nearly wiped out by a Securicor van when the traffic stopped to let a bloke turn right..I watched as he locked up, skidded toward me, turned his wheel to go past on the right..back wheels overtook the front and he missed the back of my scoob by maybe 4 inches, ending up on the wrong side of the road facing back towards York..
Worst thing for me was I had my 2 year old in the back :O AND I later noticed he had turned on the rear fog lights :@ which of course in a 96 you cant see the switch because its behind the steering wheel.....Cant have helped the guy in the van.
But I was there anyway, waving at all and sundry, in my green 4 door.

Hi There,
I was the Red (UK) with the shatty 15" Standard wheels on driving up & down quite a lot. My first job when I come back from training at the gym tonight will be to put my Gold Speedlines back on
I only got seven runs in total although a enjoyed it.
I saw most of the scoobs parked up at the left hand side where spectators usually stand. Sorry the weather wasn't any better I could have had a good bit crack with you all.
My last go I was set to go off with a silver Supra when that Yellow & Blue MK1 (V8 I think) Cortina blew-up.
Decided to go and do a bit of shopping @ the Designer Discount Outlet store for a few hours with our other freinds with the Red UK Supra.
We returned back to Elvington @ 3.30pm and no-one was there at all. My mate was gutted he had spent a lot of money on his 6-speed UK Supra i.e. boost controller and Racelogic traction control, none of them were set-up correctly hence he didn't bother running.
My last go was against the silver S4, I assumed it was only a standard one although someone on the Supra Net says it has 400BHP. Well no wonder he left me.
I did leave the following behind though.
1) Yellow Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo x 2 times
2) Silver Honda Civic Type R x 2 times
3) Red Escort Mkiv RS Turbo x 1 time
4) Black Rover 600 (which I though was a 600ti with a 600 badge on)
It's not much to brag about considering they are all front wheel drive. It would have been a different story if it had have been a better day.
My best time for 1/4 mile was 14.18 second @ 101mph which I was well chuffed of. Although someone of the Supra Net thinks that the timing gear may not be calibrated correctly or something to that nature. Anyway who cares I gave it my best shot in a Standard Scoob.
I followed the light green metallic scoob out after it was called off around 12.30 - 12.45pm. Also spoke to Buzz for a brief moment
I will hopefully be going down to one next year to see my mates Supra, although I will probably be driving a Golf GT TDi.
Cheers

Qwerty,
Was that guy in the S4 one of your mates??
Lush car your RS4 is!! I love the wheels (18" are they?). Hopefully when I get my Golf I will put some similar one's on it.
How many Supra's passed you?
Cheers

There were two RS4's there, I was in the one with the Cannonball Europe stickers all over it. Not mine, borrowed by a friend of a friend (don't ask....)
Spoke to the S4 owner. No its not standard.... far from it after listening to what he's done to it.
The RS4 I was in had some funny silver gas bottles in the boot, but I don't know what they do

I was there and have started a post in the general forum about it and also replied to one in the Northern forum, so I might aswell reply to this one aswell! lol. I was in the Silver Saxo VTS parked next door to the pepermint Scooby. Hopefully the next meet in November will have slightly better weather. Is anyone going to it!?
