Well I've got a blue STi7 Prodrive and work on Colchester Business Park so I guess it must have been me!!

I must have had the music on loud 'cos it can't have been the standard exhaust making any big booms!!!

Lets hope the PPP backbox etc. makes a decent noise - if it ever arrives.

Thumbs up

My name is on one of the seven ordered - can't wait!!
I hope it improves the low speed pick up - nearly stalled again today as hot weather plus A/C on equals qrumpy STi!!

Haven't seen any other STi7's locally in Colchester or Ipswich.

Know of any others?

It must have been ChrisD, mainly because I (like most the hooligans in Essex) know all the demonstrators from Os's from past blasts!

I will be interested in the results of the new PPP pack, I have a P1 and the STi has not interested me enough yet.......

Yeah, my only complaint is the car is a bit dead down at low revs, can't seem to get off the line as quickly as my standard MY00 did, hoping the PPP gets me more low down torque

When I had a test drive in one it initially suffered the same problem - its what has put me off until the ppp arrives. I did find that starting at 6000 rpm helped a little - would not do it everyday in my own car but what the hey!!

Hi Dave,

I would probably agree with the general opinion that it take quite a while for the STi to grow on you - I borrowed the black WRC look-a-like demostrator from Osborne for the day and by the end of it, I really wasn't sure whether to cancel my order.

My MY98 Turbo was getting old though and I couldn't think of anything else to get since I tried the Evo6 & 7 and other half has an Audi TT so I took delivery of my STi in May and now, after 4k miles, I'm glad I did and think I made the right choice.

I bet you P1 feels faster!!!

Chris

Chris

Got to be honest but I did nearly swap the P1 in for a Prodrived STi. I was having the 18" wheels put on the P1 so I had the demonstrator for the day, once it got going the handling and general ride was fantastic a big way better than the P1. When I parked up it was a horrible should I shouldn't I feeling, thought I would sit on it for a few days. Got in the P1, with its new boots and the decision was made - all the problems the P1 had compared to the STi had gone. Now if the ppp removes the problems I saw (please note it is down to individuals) in the STi compared to the P1 then I will be having a very hard rethink.

P1 or STi - if only all of lifes decisions can be as fun as this one!!
