Unhappy

****, bugger, and ****, but at least it was something repairable and not a blown engine/turbo or something...

we weren't sure wether to stop (AA geezer might get pissy) but it's not often u see scoobs on the hard shoulder, and when we realised it was you we thought we'd say 'ello.

Thanks for stopping...

Yea those words and a few more... Could not beleve it.. Left the house to pop out and buy a lighter / c a friend and the sodding clutch goes.. I still dont have a lighter but at least the AA man had one...

The AA Geezer seemed more intrested in the cars than anything else.. He and the Flat bed Guy were well impressed with the Pull away speed of you guys..

The car is going to Tileys this morning dont know when they will get a chance to look at it but at least it should be safe there..

The copper did not come round again..

Well Thanks for all the waves from others. Damm did not realise there where that many in bristol..
1 Silver STi V4 (Broken down )
2 Silver ones with a WR spoiler one with a mid.
2 Black ones.
1 Green one.
1 Blue Wagon that Beeped and waved.
1 White one.

There were probily more but that all i can rember.. Did not get any of the plates as u dont get much of a chance to look at them at those speeds .
Will keep u all updated and c u again soon on the road.

Update...

Tileys Have the car... Its not the hydraulics (sp?) for the clutch... Still no word on Price as they dont know whats gone wrong..
They are taking out the Gearbox at the mo, i think.. £££££££££ is all i can think of at the mo... and its haveing a 105K service at the same time...

The hinton bloke had picked up a Evo 6 a day before that had been nicked from a show room and burnt out after a good thrashing.. He was very intrested in the cars and might pop along to the next star meeting!!.

Will keep u updated and on the cost £££££.

Rob

The first Scoob i've seen broken down... it's a bit worrying that the clutch can go without any warning though - although I expect after 105,000 miles it's taken a bit of a hammering!!!

They told me they only give 10% on servicing not other works.

I don't think they will credit accounts as I had a little trouble getting my 10% after the invoice had been printed. They said I had to tell them when I drop the car off.

Just my experiences anyway.

From memory, the ad they once had in the SIDC mag staed that 10% would be given for both parts and labour. Didn't mention anything about just servicing.

I've always got 10% off of anything i've bought there. The last time was for braided hoses on the p1.

last time i went there it was 10% labour only (parts were not discounted), and I told them before, during and after the service that I was an SIDC member (as well as showed the card, and the car having the Tax disc holder/stickers too) and they incorrectly printed the invoice, and still haven't refunded me..
