MAF sensor blanking plate needed
hi i am reather new to the site, i have recently bought a 2001 impreza gx NON-TURBO and i am beginning to make it a little better i purchased a cold air induction kit and intend to fit it the problem i have is my car has the maf sensor after the air cleaner box close to the engine (where intercooler would be on turbo model). and the stainless steel pipe i have has a cut out for the maf sensor as this is where the turbo 1 would be located so i am after a blanking plate of some description to blank it off or even an old broken maf sensor off a turbo model does anyone have any ideas on what i could do or use to blank this off. thanks in advance from scott
(sorry if i posted in the wrong forum as i say quite new to the site )

No worries Scott
Because i used a APS front mount intercooler, i've sort of had to use a APS induction. I believe this is the only way.
In the end i had to order one from the USA. I think it's a Grimmspeed one
Hope that helps

started with this:
and ended product looks like this not the best but does what is needed:
what i done was used a small circle piece of plastic that was shaped kinf of like a bung (found it in kitchen) lol then i cut a piece of titanium to size and screwed over the top just incase the pressure in the pipe managed to push the plastic bung out... Hope this helps anyone else trying to blank off there MAF sensor. Or if you can be bothered to wait for postage you can order a grimmspeed part from USA. will post some more pics when fitted
