Did you get that engine in after mate?
What's the dowels for then as well?

 

You only need 4, 2 per side I know yours has been modded to take all 12 but it wudnt make any difference not using the other 8

I don't understand are you having a head gasket made u,p am sure there's only 2 holes on the gasket that go over the dowels, Also why have you had it machined to fit 6 per head.
Wouldn't it of been cheaper to buy some ARP bolts
