Converting a 71' Bay Window camper to Scooby power, just bought an engine but am shy several parts.

The guy I bought the loom off has found the rest that I'm missing...still require turbo and downpipe though...are turbo's interchangeable across the subaru imprezza engine varients? cheers

90's covers 1990-1999, whioch has several different types.
You did mention somewhere above it might be 98 ??
Where is/are the coil(s) mounted ? that will narrow it down a bit. Or post a pic.

Hi cheers for all the turbo offers, but I have managed to source a td05 off ebay. Still after downpipe and camcovers...Engine is in a workshop about two hours from me but should hopefully get down for some pics over the weekend,

For a downpipe. Whilst they arent fantastic you could check egay out. Im sure there are lots of aftermarket varieties out there intended for Imprezas that you could use.
I imagine you'll be doing some cutting at it anyway

Given he's building a VW camper...I dont think emissions will require a CAT, as they probably werent even invented back then.

I am not in the know but surely if you put a new-skool engine in an old-skool chassis certain extra rules and regulations would be in force? Either way, kind of irrelevant and off-topic.
