Default WANTED: long M11x1.25 tap to clean head bolt thread!

Desperately need a long M11x1.25 thread chaser / tap to clear out a crudded up head bolt thread in my EJ20 block. The cheapest I can find is £40 and may not even be long enough - I only need it for this one job! I can't be the only SNetter to have to clean out my head bolt threads, someone must have just the tool knocking about? Cheers!

Definitely 1.25, are you sure yours is a 1? 1.25 is already fine, I think 1.5 is the standard pitch? If you can let me know it'll be much appreciated. Cheers!

Not to worry, then! If you can find one it is still needed, but if not I'm going to try and make one out of an old head bolt.

Like you said, just file a couple of notches/cutting edges on an old head bolt, should do the trick

I did manage to file a couple of flats onto some head bolts and made myself a 1st and 2nd tap with different lead profiles. Did the job!
