Default Coilovers for a Bugeye

What have you got? Nothing too fancy, just fast road and a couple of trips to the ring involved. Cheers.

JonMc

Thanks for the link to the Coilovers I have for sale

I'm not sure I'd take them to the Ring They lower the car quite a bit and for some of the corners the suspension would simply be the bumpstops LOL

I hear they charge for the metre for Armco damage !!

Panthro......what's your budget??

Hi Shaun

How much do they lower the car by? Can you not adjust the ride height? I already have some lowering springs on the car, which were on there when I bought them, however, I want to sort the suspension out so I know exactly whats on there. How much of a harder ride would they be compared to the STI springs? Are they significantly better than the standard suspension?
Cheer, Luke.

Luke

The Eibach coilovers do lower the car and are adjustable for ride height....They are miles better than the Bugeye as it left the fatcory but I'm not sure they are what you want !!

I went around a track as a passenger with a bugeye owner in a Skoda octavia (he could drive !!) and it really opened my eyes

He tracked his bugeye on the OEM shocks with some cheap Eibach springs plus a Godspeed brake conversion.....

I'd have a chat with APi, Powerstation, RCMS before buying

Eibachs are only for show, they are not stiffness adjustable which is pointless, just height to make the car look good.

Should be able to get a set of K Sport ones on here for £600 or so, or D2 coilovers pretty cheap

XTC is the value deal, we fitted a set on a car that went to the 'ring The car was perfect. We used the lowest price level of coilover with simple click for hardness and adjustable spring platforms. About £1280.00 if I recall.

Excellent stuff and l recommend it highly.

David APi

PS we also sell it and fit it
